This document outlines the terms under which Forget Me Not Home Help provides services and operates its website. It includes our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Safeguarding Statement, Website Policy and Equality Statement.
1. About Us
Forget Me Not Home Help provides practical, non medical support to help older adults remain independent and comfortable in their own homes.
Services may include:
• companionship and conversation
• help around the home
• shopping and errands
• meal preparation
• assistance with paperwork and correspondence
• appointment reminders
• light household and garden tasks
We provide home help services only. We do not provide regulated personal care or medical services such as washing, dressing, administering medication or nursing care. If a client requires regulated care, we may recommend contacting a Care Quality Commission registered provider.
2. Terms and Conditions of Service
By engaging Forget Me Not Home Help, you agree to the following terms.
Service Agreement
Services will be delivered as agreed between the client and Forget Me Not Home Help. Support will always be provided within the agreed scope of service and in accordance with our professional standards.
Fees and Payment
Services are charged at the agreed hourly rate. Payment is required in advance. For regular support, invoices are issued in advance on either a 14 day or 28 day cycle depending on the agreed arrangement. For one off visits, payment must be received before the visit takes place.
If additional hours or services are requested beyond the agreed scope, these will be discussed and agreed before being carried out wherever reasonably possible.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of services.
Cancellations
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. If less than 24 hours notice is provided, the full fee for the scheduled visit may be charged. If we need to cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will provide as much notice as possible and arrange an alternative visit where available.
Insurance and Vetting
Anyone providing services through Forget Me Not Home Help is:
• Fully insured
• Enhanced DBS checked, where appropriate
• Carefully vetted and referenced
We take reasonable steps to ensure all individuals working with us are trustworthy and suitable for the role.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing a safe environment in which services can be carried out. Clients should inform us of any relevant risks within the home such as mobility hazards, pets, or medical conditions that may affect safety.
Limitation of Liability
While we take reasonable care when delivering services, Forget Me Not Home Help cannot accept liability for:
• Pre existing damage to property
• Undisclosed risks within the home
• Events beyond our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
3. Privacy Policy
Forget Me Not Home Help is committed to protecting your personal information.
We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Information we may collect includes:
• Name
• Address
• Telephone number
• Email address
• Relevant information required to safely provide services
This information is used solely to:
• Arrange and deliver services
• Communicate with clients
• Maintain service records
• Manage billing and administration
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties unless required by law or where necessary to protect the safety or wellbeing of a client. 4. Safeguarding Statement
Forget Me Not Home Help is committed to protecting vulnerable adults from harm. We take safeguarding seriously and aim to create an environment where clients feel safe, respected and supported. If we become concerned about the safety or wellbeing of a client, we may raise those concerns with appropriate family members, carers or relevant authorities where necessary. All concerns will be handled sensitively and in accordance with safeguarding guidance.
5. Website Policy
By using our website you agree to use it responsibly and lawfully. You must not:
• Use the website for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems

Forget Me Not Home Help is a trading name used by independent self employed operators providing practical home help services. Services are currently delivered by: Ingrid van der Weide and Angie Sargent. Each operates on a self employed basis and is individually responsible for the services they provide.
