Whether you are seeking support for yourself or for a loved one, Forget Me Not Home Help provides practical, reliable assistance and genuine peace of mind.
Founded by long term friends Ingrid and Angie, we are privately owned and independently run. This means we are not restricted by rigid schedules or corporate processes. We take time to understand what matters to you and tailor our support accordingly.
Ingrid has been a carer in one form or another all her life. From supporting her younger brother with Down’s syndrome to raising her own family, caring has always been at the heart of who she is. Alongside this, Ingrid has built and led successful community and business initiatives, working with families,
organisations and local partners. She brings organisation, clear communication and a strong sense of responsibility to everything she does. Calm, practical and solutions focused, she is someone you can rely on.
Angie shares the same steady values. While raising her three children, triplets no less, she served for many years as Group Scout Leader in Stubbington, supporting young people and families within the community. As a driving instructor for over 20 years, she developed a natural ability to build confidence, reduce anxiety and guide people patiently through situations that may feel overwhelming. Her calm reassurance and steady encouragement are qualities that clients quickly come to appreciate. Outside of work, Angie enjoys restoring and repairing treasured teddy bears and soft toys in her workshop, reflecting her careful, attentive nature.

Together, we combine life experience, practical skills and professional standards to offer dependable support that respects your independence and your home.
We treat every home with the same respect and care we would expect for our own families.

Respect
We respect your home, your routines and your independence. We enter every home with care and consideration, remembering that it is your space, not ours.
Dignity
We believe support should strengthen confidence, not diminish it. Our role is to work alongside you, helping you maintain control and choice in your daily life.
Reliability
When we say we will be there, we will. Clear communication, consistency and professionalism are at the heart of how we operate.
Compassion
We take time to listen and understand. We know that asking for help can feel vulnerable, and we approach every situation with patience, kindness and discretion.
What is the difference between home help and home care?
Home help focuses on practical support such as cleaning, shopping, cooking and companionship. Home care includes regulated personal or medical care, such as washing, dressing or administering medication. We provide non medical home help only and do not offer regulated personal or nursing care.
Do you provide services seven days a week?
Most of our regular support is provided Monday to Friday. However, we are available at weekends for one off visits or special circumstances, subject to availability. Please feel free to discuss your specific needs with us and we will always do our best to help.
How much does home help cost?
Our fixed rate is £22 per hour or part thereof. For day trips or visits that require additional travel, mileage may be charged at 45p per mile. Any additional costs will always be discussed with you in advance.
What happens if my needs change?
You are not tied into a long term contract. We build our service around care, flexibility and trust. The time you book is not restricted to one task. If your needs change on the day, we will adapt wherever possible to support what matters most at that time.
How do I pay for your services?
All services are paid for in advance of the hours booked. For one off services, an invoice will be issued prior to the agreed appointment. For regular support, invoices are issued on either a 14 day or 28 day basis in advance.
What happens if I need to cancel?
If you provide at least 24 hours notice, there will be no charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the standard hourly rate, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Are you vetted?
We both hold enhanced DBS checks and are fully insured. We are also happy to provide character references for additional peace of mind.
What happens if one of you is unwell?
If one of us is unwell, we will try to cover for each other wherever possible. If that is not possible, we will rearrange the visit at a time that suits you. You will never be charged for support you have not received.
What happens during holidays?
Like any service, we take occasional holidays. We will always give you plenty of notice so that alternative arrangements can be made if required.
